Graduate Student Assistant 2021-22
The Center for Creativity at the University of Pittsburgh fosters connections between and among members of the University community whose scholarly efforts and passions are rooted in “making stuff” – making stories, pictures, music, scenes, statements, apps, messes, etc.
The Center for Creativity (C4C) is seeking a dedicated graduate student with a background in producing and understanding the production of creative work (e.g. art, poetry, music, letterpress and book arts, theater, etc.) and the ability to successfully engage with people whose involvement in the creative process may be as a novice, an experimenter, or an experienced practitioner.
The GSA will work with the Center’s directors and staff to implement and improve programming and strategic projects, will play an integral role in identifying and developing funding opportunities, and will assist in data collection activities and literature reviews. The GSA may serve as a representative of the Center for Creativity at various student activity/research/recruitment events.
This position involves administrative duties and a time commitment of 20 hours/week in Fall Term and Spring Term (may include evenings and weekends)
- Meeting requirements of their Pitt graduate program for timely completion of degree;
- Demonstrated comfort in both coaching and learning roles;
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills;
- Strong analytical and organizational skills;
- Competence with both MS Office and iOS software and other common technologies.
